Evaluation on the Nursing Performance in the Application of the Nursing Process


Abstract
This study was undertaken to find the level of performance which the nursing students did in the clinical ¢¥setting, to evaluate student¢¥s abilities and to suggest ways to improve their abilities,
This study involved 267 courses of nursing process out of 44 cases of nursing case study from August to December 1984 in Chung-Ang university Hospital.
The results were as follows.
1. Performance rate of Assessment stage was 70.0% and 54.7/00 for the systemic data collection.
2. Classifying the nursing problems according to Abdellah, rate of nursing problems related to sustenal care need was 48.9,110, related to basic to all patients 34.3%0/, related to remedial care need 11.8/10, related to restorative care need was 5.O%,
3. Performance rate of planning Stage was 76.0%.
4. In the implementation stage, performance rate of implementation of plan was 91.8 0, application of skills was 56.61"0¢¥, and 53. 8,0/, for organization and use of resourses.
5. Performance of evaluation stage was 16. 1¢¥00 and 13. 1% for revision of plan.
For the recommendation, I would like to suggest emphasizing of evaluation stage would be needed.
